This introductory 50hour training will set a solid foundation for yoga teachers looking to become meditation teachers, and is also open to students who are looking to further expand their knowledge on various meditation styles and techniques to improve their own practice with the support of like-minded people. You will have the support of a group collective to encourage having a daily practice overseen by Miriam. 

We will look at the philosophy and science behind meditation from the perspective of traditional Yogic practices, Buddhist philosophy, mindfulness practice and neurological science. We will explore each of these meditation techniques and learn how and when to use them effectively, as well as experience the effects of these practices.

Meditation is a highly rewarding and life changing practice. For many who study and practice the art of meditation it becomes a daily practice that nurtures them throughout their whole lives. Meditation offers benefits of mind shaped on the values of compassion, mindfulness and contentment.

Students will be required to practice meditation at home and keep a journal, pre-course study including reading and watching online trainings to ensure everyone arrives primed and well prepared.

This module is delivered over a period of 8 weeks, giving you a week between each session to practice what you have learned.

Training Structure

You will attend half a day on Mondays 9am-1pm for 8 weeks. The course is scheduled in such a way that you have plenty of time to practice, read, keep a journal, study and absorb the practices. Each training day will involve theory, lead practices by Miriam, group discussion, dialogue, journaling and reflection.

Miriam will be your mentor to check in with you between sessions/home practice over the 8 weeks to assist the group collective, give support and guidance.
