What a truly blissful experience this retreat was! I was a little nervous as I’d never been on a yoga retreat before and I was going on my own – however I was rewarded with one of the most relaxing & healing weekends of my life. It was such a gift to immerse myself in Miriam’s gentle, peaceful presence in such a beautiful, nature-filled location. Miriam’s expertise is second-to-none and her flowing, soothing approach seemed to guide us not only through the weekend’s meditation and yoga practice; it also set the tone for the entire retreat. The catering was incredible, the company of the other yogis was really joyful, and the rainforest surroundings so pristine. It really was heaven at Gymea! The Saturday schedule included morning meditation, breath work and yoga; an amazing and nourishing variety or organic vegan meals; a session in the steam room, sauna and spa & magnesium salt plunge pool; a one-hour relaxing remedial massage; a beautiful bushwalk; and an evening or Kirtan singing….I genuinely experienced the sensation of complete bliss as I dropped off to sleep. It was as though every layer of my body and brain had been permeated with the ingredients essential for pure relaxation and healing. The retreat was perfectly named – I couldn’t have asked for a more rejuvenating weekend. My heartfelt thanks go to Miriam for giving all of us such an amazing gift in facilitating this weekend. It won’t be forgotten!! I can’t wait for next time.
I have just come back from 3 days of bliss and I’m still feeling on a high. Attending one of Miriam’s retreats will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and you will come home feeling brand new. She is a very kind, gentle and compassionate teacher. Her sense of peace and well-being is transformative and I honestly believe that my life has changed for the better since this retreat. I would highly recommend a retreat with Miriam – she’s a very special person and one that I feel honoured to have met and have taught me the practice of yoga.

As a long time practitioner of many modalities of yoga, I’ve been blessed to attend yoga retreats all over the world, and I’ve never encountered a teacher as experienced, warm, knowledgeable, welcoming, and inspiring as Miriam. I kept saying all weekend, “Wow, she’s the real deal!” for truly she exudes from her very being the energy of compassion and kindness, and her knowledge in cuing and crafting very different classes is simply unparalleled.
